If you are at the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco this week, there’s an event that you don’t want to miss.

Today, March 7th from 2-3 pm PST marks the inaugural meeting and social gathering of the newly created Learning and Education Games IGDA SIG. Rochester Institute of Technology Game Design and Development Professor Stephen Jacobs is the Chair of this exciting new SIG. Our own CEO Victoria Van Voorhis serves on the steering committee, along with David Simkins of RIT and Megan Gaiser of Her Interactive.

If you are passionate about the use of games in the classroom, do stop by and say hello. Also, please check out the SIG’s Google group. We encourage you to join the conversation.
